Carol Guidry brings a rich and varied performance background to her teaching: A soloist with the Minnesota Dance Theatre where she was featured in works by George Balanchine, Sir Fredrick Ashton, Glen Tetley, Eugene Loring and José Limon. She also had the pleasure of working personally with Donald Byrd (The Group, The Color Purple) on several projects during that time. She danced eight years in Germany with the Heidelberg City Ballet and the Gelsenkirchner Musiktheater im Revier where she also set several pieces of her choreography. Upon returning to the U.S., Ms. Guidry danced for Toni Basil, choreographed productions for the Mark Taper Forum and the Ford Theater, and performed regularly with the Los Angeles Chamber Ballet.

In addition to her experience teaching ballet for nearly 2 decades, Ms. Guidry holds an Advanced 2 Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dancing in London, is certified in Pilates by Long Beach Dance Conditioning and the Physical Mind Institute, is a Level 3 Franklin Method instructor, and Artistic Director / Co-founder of the Santa Clarita Ballet. Her former students have gone on to the Joffrey Ballet, Washington Ballet, Dresden Semper Oper Ballet, and Grand Rapids Ballet companies; and the San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Los Angeles Ballet Trainee Programs.
