The Dope Elf Rehearsal Tuesday 8.20.19. Jacqueline Wright, Michael Bonnabel, Paul Outlaw, Philip Littell, Zut Lorz, and Joe Seely rehearse elements of a six part, six hour play about the way white patriarchy, white supremacy effect the psyche of perpetrator and victim.

The first cut is a section from an opening monologue. The second cut is a full length rehearsal performance of “Bodysnatch Lane,” which takes place nightly in the play behind a Jack in the Box at 3am. And then we see a section from Gingy the Troll’s monologue; a scene between two actors who are also a murderous elf and a stabilizing and destructive spirit, albeit unknown to themselves at this time. There is a scene from Alfred and John, an economically challenged gay couple who are subtly turning into underworld creatures. There is a second cut from the troll’s monologue, a piece from a scene called the “Fuck Garden“ where two young magicians and the elves meet high school and a piece of The Dope Elf’s monologue “Buckwild” where she reveals herself to the audience.
